I already use a remote trackpad app pretty much daily.

Mostly for:

  1. Controlling my PC from the couch
  2. Launching apps without walking back to my desk
  3. Skipping songs when I’m too lazy to reach the keyboard

At some point I thought:

I wonder how hard it would be to build this myself.

That was the entire reason this project started.

No big product vision.

No monetization plan.

Just curiosity.

The Idea
I didn’t want remote desktop.
I didn’t want screen streaming.
I just wanted:
Smooth mouse movement
Keyboard input
Media controls
Multi-monitor support
All local. No cloud. No account required.

Just my phone talking to my PC.

The “Okay This Is Cool” Moment

The first time my phone moved the mouse across my screen using my own server was honestly way more satisfying than it should’ve been.

It worked. Smooth. No noticeable lag.

That’s when it stopped being a small experiment.

Why I Like Projects Like This

There’s something different about rebuilding a tool you already use.

You:

  1. Learn how it actually works
  2. Strip it down to what you care about
  3. Remove the stuff you don’t
  4. Build it exactly how you want

It’s not revolutionary.

It’s just practical.

And it’s mine.
